Last week, we attended IAAPA Asia Pacific 2026 in Hong Kong, one of the most important events in the global attractions, leisure and waterpark industry. It was a week full of inspiration, innovation, valuable meetings and exciting new opportunities.

Waterworld Ocean Park: Inspiration Between Mountains and Ocean

Our journey started at Waterworld Ocean Park Hong Kong, without a doubt one of the most impressive waterparks we have ever visited.

Nestled between lush green mountains and the South China Sea, the park perfectly demonstrates how architecture, nature and attractions can come together in a unique guest experience. The combination of indoor and outdoor attractions, spectacular slides, a wave surfer, lazy river and beautifully designed pools left a lasting impression.

On a quiet Monday morning, we had plenty of time to explore the park in detail. Standing at the top of a slide overlooking Hong Kong’s mountains reminded us once again how creativity, technology and entertainment can merge into something truly special.

Disneyland Hong Kong and the Future of VR Snorkeling

Before the exhibition started, we visited Disneyland Hong Kong for another dose of inspiration.

While we are currently focused on developing our seventh VR Snorkeling theme, Titanic, we are already looking ahead. Starting in 2027, we plan to create a brand-new frozen underwater world within VR Snorkeling, filled with ice, snow and magical winter landscapes.

Disney once again showed us the power of storytelling and immersive experiences. Not to copy, but to inspire us in creating unique adventures that transport visitors into another world.

Three Days of IAAPA Asia Pacific 2026

The exhibition itself delivered exactly what IAAPA is known for: innovation, inspiration and connections.

During three intensive days, we welcomed visitors from across Asia, Europe, Australia and the Middle East. We had dozens of conversations with operators of waterparks, swimming pools, resorts and leisure venues looking for innovative ways to enhance guest experiences.

Interest in both VR Snorkeling and Virtual Reality Slide was strong, resulting in numerous new proposals and opportunities. We also expanded our international reseller network with several promising new partnerships.

Beyond the commercial opportunities, IAAPA remains a place where ideas come together. Discussions about technology, guest experiences and the future of attractions continue to provide valuable insights and inspiration.

A Week to Remember

We ended the week the same way it started: in the water. This time with VR Snorkeling at Harbour Grand Hong Kong, overlooking one of the world's most iconic skylines.

From waterparks and slides to virtual reality and international partnerships, IAAPA Asia 2026 was all about inspiration, innovation and connection.

Now we return to the Netherlands with new ideas, new contacts and renewed energy.

Next stop: IAAPA Europe 2026.
